Little Things Matter

Like most of the nation I have been watching in shock, horror and amazement at the devastating QLD floods. The stories of these courageous people has been heart wrenching and I’m sure there will be a lot more stories to unfold. It’s at times like these that you realise that it’s people and relationships that really matter and time and time again you hear people say “I’ve lost everything but I still have my beautiful family”

This morning I woke to see a tiny tug guiding a huge 300m concrete walkway through a raging river. The size of this tug seemed so insignificant in comparison to the walkway and yet it was able to make a difference and spare QLD from what would have been a lot more destruction if the walkway was allowed to travel unguided.

This got me to thinking about the “small” things that we do that seem insignificant but yet are powerful in the lives of others. Things like a phone call, a card, donations we make, a gift we give, letting someone know you are thinking of them, a meal, encouraging words……..these “little” things can be so meaningful and could help guide that person onto a better course.

Holiday Break

The Wrapped To You Office will be closed from 21st January and reopen on 31st January. I’m taking some time away to enjoy my beautiful family and set some awesome 2011 goals. So watch this space as 2011 will prove to be bigger and better.

My wish for you all is that 2011 will be better than you could even dream or imagine
